Currently we’re looking forward to our Autumn 60 Day Challenge and Lunge Walk Mile for Charity. However the past few months have been busy for Llanelli Beach Bootcamp. We celebrated our 6th Birthday, took on Invncbl at Pembrey and continued to train on Machynys Bay and at HQ with PT clients. Here’s a quick summary of our summer months.

Six Years Of Bootcamp

In August we celebrated 6 years of Llanelli Beach Bootcamp. So that’s 6 years of business, 6 years of session in rain or shine and 6 years of building the best bootcamp family ever. As a “thank you” we held a fabulous BBQ but also ran a special challenge. Members were challenged to complete 50 cals (men) or 35 cals (women) as fast as possible on the assualt bike.

6 Years Of Bootcamp

Known as the devil’s tricycle, the assault bike offers plenty of benefits including improving aerobic capacity. Surely, but slowly, members stepped up to volunteer for the challenge. Well done to everyone who gave it a go. However the overall winner was Warren who managed to complete 50 calories in an impressive 1 minute 13 seconds. He managed to recover sufficiently to enjoy his steak prize at the BBQ.

Taking On Invncbl

Invncbl returned to Pembrey Country Park in July and we once again took a large team to participate. The event is a 10K run through the woods and across the beach of the park. To add to the excitement there are obstacles to climb under and over. A nice cooling dip in the sea – assisted by volunteers with water guns – also featured. Well done to each and every one of you who took part – you smashed it!

New Arrivals

Away from Invncbl bootcamp members have been taking part in other events. Cerys completed her first marathon in Bath and Hannah did the Cardiff 10K just a few weeks ago. Other members have been trying Llanelli Park Run too, some for the first time. Finally Jude complete the Gower Macmarathon – a 22 mile walk along The Gower Coast in aid of Macmillan.

Baby Shower

Looking head there’s plenty to celebrate. We have not one, but three ladies currently expecting new arrivals. Luisa, Ember and Kayleigh have all continued training with bootcamp. Last week we held a Baby Shower on the beach in celebration. After a few medicine ball runs, squats, partner carries and press-ups we enjoyed a cake and the last of the summer weather.
