In 2017 Llanelli Beach Bootcamp held a charity event on Machynys Bay in aid of Save Nicola and Neve’s Journey. Members took to the sands to complete a burpee mile either individually or in teams. It’s high time we did another charity event and so on the 10th November at 10am will be doing another mile. This time it won’t be burpees but lunges.

Nstygmus & Dementia UK

The Llanelli Beach Bootcamp Lunge Walk Mile is being held to raise funds for two good causes. These are the Nystagmus Network and Dementia UK. Nystagmus is a complex visual impairment that currently has no cure. The Nystagmus Network is a UK registered charity which provides support and information, raises awareness and funds research. Dementia UK provide specialist advice to families living with dementia through Admiral Nurses.

A lunge mile is a challenge so it’s important to prepare. We’ll be getting in shape at Llanelli Beach Bootcamp sessions between now and November. Why not come and join us for those sessions too? We meet every Friday (6pm) and Sunday (9am) for bootcamp plus a sprints session each and every Wednesday at 5.45pm. There will also be a home workout each week which will help you get ready for the mile.

If you’d like to join us raising funds these charitable organisations then come and join us on November 10th.
